Description
Step 1. Shrink wrap entire cap. Rear door can be romoved befor or after wrapping. step 2. Be sure that the lower skids extend outside the peimiter of the cap by at least 6". If not extend skid or add new skid of 1*4" wood. Rear door is now removed. Step3. Attach styrofoam angle-padding with tape to lower edge. Step4. Drape cap with styrofoam or foam sheets. AT LEAST 1/2" thick. Be sure sheets are long enough and drape well over edges. Step 5. Lay the well sheet(s) upon the cap and bend a preliminary shape. The multiple sheets can be subtituted by two single thick multi-layer sheets or one single thick sheet. Step 6. Start the banding. The advantage of having multiple sheets is that it is easier to tighten the steel bands without having the well wrinkling. Help the well conform to cap stagewise during tightening. Continue banding. Be sure not to overtighten considering the bands cutting into the well, also consider adding a wooden brace in the rear of the cap between the rails to add rigidity at the rear opening. Do not undertighten either to assue the cap clings to the packaging. Finished product! IMPORTANT!!!!! Add 1*4" wood at the lower edge and the top corner of the cap that runs the entire length of the unit. This to spread the force of the bands and to give the cap good surface to stand on vetically. Our example lacks these pieces but is of monumental importance!
