For over 30 years we have been treating patientswith ultraviolet light therapy. Our Silver Spring office offers narrow band ultraviolet light. Phototherapy (often called light therapy) involves exposing the skin to an artificial source of ultraviolet light on a regular basis under medical supervision for therapeutic purpose. Many skin disorders are characterized by localized inflammation in the skin that is mediated by the immune system. Ultraviolet light reduces the inflammatory response as well as suppresses the immune system in the skin.

ESPRIT is a 10 year registry of patients taking HUMIRA® for Psoriasis. Patients who volunteer to participate will be asked to provide information about their medical history and experiences with HUMIRA®. No registry specific testing will be performed. Patients will be asked to provide data on their experiences with HUMIRA® approximately every 6 months, or as determined by the study doctor. No drug will be provided as a result of participation in the registry. All treatment decisions are independent of participation in the registry. This is an ongoing trial, but we are no longer enrolling.

The Clinical Trials Center works in concert with the dermatologists at DermAssociates, PC to provide patients with unique access to medications to patients with complex and resistant medical conditions. Our staff consists of board certified dermatologists with expertise in the trials we conduct.
