"I've been a licensed massage therapist for over 27 years. For the past 6+ months I have been dealing with tennis elbow pain due to repetitive stress. The pain had become so bad I could hardly lift a glass of water. I came to see Deana at Maplebrook Community Acupuncture and with one treatment the pain was totally gone.

Acupuncture is a comprehensive healing system that dates back over 2,500 years. Acupuncture works with the energy, or Qi(pronounced Chee), that flows throughout our bodies along energetic pathways called meridians or channels. Periodically, we develop blockages and imbalances along these pathways due to physical and or emotional factors. It is when these blockages and imbalances occur that we develop symptoms. Once the acupuncturist determines where the blockages are, very fine sterile disposable needles are inserted at specific points along the meridians stimulating the bodyâ??s innate healing abilities. Acupuncture therapy encourages the body to restore its own balance on all levels of the body, mind and spirit.

Deana is passionate about helping people live healthier, happier lives. Deana has over 10 years of experience helping her patients with health issues ranging from seasonal allergies, colds and flu to more chronic issues including pain, sciatica, digestive concerns, stress, depression, pain from sports or other injuries, headaches/migraines, high blood pressure, and addictions. For more than 20 years, Deana has actively studied various traditional techniques used to facilitate healing in people. She has made it her passion to share what she has learned as well as her healing techniques with those who are interested and in need of healing.
