These all purpose, high-strength phenolic fiber sheets are used in machine shops, industrial plants and construction. OFFERS EXCELLENT MACHINABILITY Mapletex can be manipulated in ways limited only to the imagination. It can be routered, cut, drilled and tooled into any number of useful shapes and still maintain its integrity. RESISTS ABRASION This hard wearing product will give exceptionally long service under the toughest conditions of use. It will out-last most materials for flooring, work tables, conveyors, wear strips or Wainscoting. RESISTS CORROSION The phenolic base of Mapletex resists most acids, solvents and bacterial action. Its qualities remain unchanged under most conditions of use except extreme heat and strong acids. LIGHT WEIGHT Mapletex is about 1/4 the weight of steel. This quality is important in saving freight costs, but even more important to the manufacturer who is using Mapletex as a part of his end product. As a tool or fixture it greatly reduces the equipment and personnel needed for handling. ELECTRICAL AND HEAT INSULATION Mapletex is a nonconductor of electricity and is the ideal material where metals cannot be used.
