During my twelve years in Sonoma County I worked in no less than eleven tasting rooms, which has to be a record. Between these jobs, I published HempWorld magazine and the Hemp Pages directory and spoke widely about the emerging hemp industry. My articles on business, hemp and organic wine have appeared in such publications as Wines and Vines, Buyside, Cannabis Culture, E-The Environmental Magazine, New Age and Magical Blend, as well as the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Russian River Times, Northbay Bohemian and Pacific Sun newspapers. My interest in fine wine was first sparked while working as a professional photographer in San Francisco, shooting cover stories for Wine Spectator magazine. In my last position in Sonoma County, I worked as the marketing director at Santa Rosa wine retailer, Bottle Barn. I now reside in Vancouver, Canada where I am writing about the British Columbia wine industry. My most recent articles appeared in Wine Enthusiast, WestEnder weekly and Wine Press Northwest magazine. In addition to writing tastingroomconfidential.com , I also blog for the Everything Wine stores at everythingwine.ca/blog . I am a member of the Society of Wine Educators, the BC Travel Writers Association, and I serve as the Chair of the West End Writer’s Workshop, whose Web site , blog ,and Facebook pages I maintain. When I’m not writing and tasting wine, I’m often listening to jazz with my husband, Bill. During the Vancouver Jazz Festival, we write about the shows at our Jazzcouverites blog. Dig it.
