The Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori herself. Several members of our faculty are also instructors for the Montessori Center for Teacher Education and have taught many of the Montessori teachers in San Diego County in addition to teachers throughout the United States and around the globe. Our school has long been the site of a prominent center dedicated to the education of teachers as well as students. Our involvement with the Montessori Center for Teacher Education benefits the school in many ways.

Our mission is to provide a complete Montessori program which considers the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the total child by addressing the uniqueness of each in a nurturing, emotionally secure and academically excellent environment.
