Language skills need to be used in the real world, and that’s why we provide these opportunities for current students, as well as for other inquiring minds. We understand that most students are quite shy about expressing themselves in public, especially to a native speaker. Our gatherings have one important purpose, and that is to provide a comfortable environment in which to practice and build self-confidence using newly acquired second-language skills. Beginners can practice simple exchanges, while more advanced students can engage in deeper conversations. And those beginners can pick up small but useful abilities just from listening in! And we include camaraderie, friendship, and food so that fun is definitely a major part of the day.

Healthcare providers are given the opportunity to learn new skills through the customized course we provide for them. Learn medical Spanish vocabulary, sentence structure and verb conjugation. These are all provided by our communication programs as part of the specialized courses we offer for these healthcare professionals. Caring for and treating patients is now more effective when you use medical Spanish for patients who are more comfortable using their native language.

Today, Maria owns and operates the Maria Oliveira Language Learning Center and her own language consulting firm. She is dedicated to discovering new and innovative strategies that will engage and enrich adult learners. Whether teaching or consulting, Maria Oliveira is an enthusiastic educator who continues to share both the joy of learning and an appreciation for language and culture with all her clients and students.
