Description

In the 1950's, Dr. Bernard Domogalla, a researcher with the Wisconsin Department of Hygiene, became one of the first commercial applicator of formulated chemicals for aquatic vegetation control. Through his work, he developed CUTRINE, the first patented chelated copper algaecide. Following Dr. Domogalla's death, Marine Biochemists, Inc. was incorporated in 1968 to provide contract applicating services on a regional basis. Applied Biochemists, Inc. was established to manufacture and sell CUTRINE. Since that time, these two companies have worked harmoniously together in developing innovative techniques and environmentally acceptable chemicals for aquatic vegetation control. Marine Biochemists now has divisions in Arizona, California, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
