I still, to this day, honor Floyd Friday. My high school teacher, Mr. Ken Youra, started his teachings when I was only in 7th grade. That first Friday during his class, he put on The Wall by Floyd. On vinyl no doubt. Only way to listen to Floyd in his book. Since that day, it stuck with me. He taught me art like no other. Throughout college, my numerous jobs, and my personal life, Pink Floyd is always there. Little does he know, that I still honor the day, the last day of the work week, with playing nothing but Pink Floyd. Granted, it's not on vinyl and most of my co-workers are not cool with Floyd, but it still is piped into my noodle. Behind the Design Welcome to my website. Thank you for taking the time to browse around and get to know me. I am currently employed full time by C-Store Systems , part of Hussmann's Convenience Works division, as a designer. I am available for freelance business. Behind it all lies a sleeping brute of a monkey wishing only to have a decent night sleep, his illustration skills to return to college levels, make enough money not to worry about bills, and enough time during the weekend to relax and play with the kiddos before trudging off to another wonderful work week. Designer & Photographer Classically trained in the arts of color, layout, and composition from the minds at the Art Department of MATC-Truax. It was so nice, I graduated twice -- once in communications and once in applied arts. First photography, then graphic design took their hold in the skills of my head. Dealing with various job prospects as a graphic designer in the Madison job market has led to many good years in the creative field from large to small corporations, and ultimately to my very own studio in my home. During my training at college, I accumulated between 10 - 12 studies in photography alone and currently own seven cameras ranging from and old Kodak Pony to my new Canon EOS 8 Mega-Pixel Digital. I've created or shot almost anything you can think of: logos, brands, websites, brochures, senior class portraits, menu boards, signage, wallpaper, location photography, hanging structures, sales literature, weddings, receptions, Taste of Madison venues, complete corporate identities, product photography, annual reports, and hundreds of business cards. Everything Else I'm a dedicated family man. I love my kiddos. Lillian just joined us and Willem's been my little man for a while now. My loving wife keeps me in line and on my toes. I can usually be found most Wednesday's or "New Comic Book Day" at @WestfieldComics in Madison. I like Bugs Bunny over Mickey Mouse, Batman over Captain America, Justice League over Avengers, and cartoons over news. If I have time to watch TV, I'm an avid FX Networks junkie and usually don't miss "Rescue Me", "Archer", "Nip / Tuck", or "Always Sunny". But I'm a big sucker for "Iron Chef America", "Diners Drive-ins and Dives", "Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations", "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends", "Invader Zim", and now, "Phineas & Ferb". If I can't catch it on TV, I'm on Hulu during work hours (but don't tell my boss). I'm a founding member of the "Save Farscape" campaign on WatchFarscape.
