Our Staff LISEL GARCIA Lisel is the Principal of Market International Insurance Agency. Lisel was born in Uruguay, South America. She came to the United States to attend college and graduated in 1977. In 1982 she began her insurance career with the Aetna and later worked with The Hartford, Lexington, and Home Insurance Companies. As an underwriter Lisel handled commercial accounts including manufacturers, contractors, governmental entities, and service operations. Her brokerage experience includes Fred S. James where she was responsible for managing a fortune 200 manufacturing account. Before starting Market International, Lisel worked for the surplus lines broker Swett & Crawford where she handled high hazard products accounts, medical products, clinical trials, and construction wrap-ups. Lisel also handled various types of professional liability, general liability and property coverages. Thomas Cordner Tom started his insurance career with the Insurance Company of North America after graduating from College in 1970. By 1978 he was promoted to Assistant Casualty Underwriting Manager in the Boston Branch Office. In 1980 he started with the Lexington Insurance Company as the Assistant Underwriting Manager for Professional Liability and was later promoted to Vice President. During his career at the Lexington Tom handled a wide array of high hazard manufacturing, construction, and professional liability exposures. In 1988 Tom joined Swett & Crawford as a Vice President. In his new position he handled the excess on numerous Fortune 500 Accounts including Medical Technology Companies, Instruments, Agricultural Chemicals, Food Processing, and Construction Companies. In addition Tom brokered transit districts, small to medium size medical technology companies, high hazard products risks, contractors and various classes of professional liability.
