Marklyn Pools

Our Dad, Oren Stevens, started Marklynn in the late 1950's. He made in-ground vinyl liners at our original location in Manchester, NH. The liners were designed to be installed in reinforced concrete wall pools most of which still exist. Business really boomed with the addition of the Coleco line of above-ground pools which provided many families with affordable pleasure. In fact, many customers passed on these pools to family members when they were done with them thus serving a new generation of swimming enthusiasts. Many things in the pool business have changed through the years but Marklynn is still the same family-owned company serving the greater Manchester, NH region. For this we are sincerely thankful to our customers and employees. Our existence is based on keeping swimming pool owners satisfied and enthusiastic with our products and services; thus building a base for a successful future. The best way to do this is to make pools fun, safe and affordable.

The word "chlorine" is a very encompassing term. There are different chemical types which are classified as chlorine, as well as different strengths. Take for instance our Poolife brand of Active Cleaning Granules which is 68% calcium hypochlorite. Big box stores sell a product of 47% and at about the same price. See our products in 25, 50 and 100# containers. Also, our liquid chlorine, which can be used as a shock or as many of our customers do, as their everyday sanitizer, is packaged at 12.5% strength favorably comparing to some retailers' 5 or 6%. Our chlorine comes in 1 gallon bottles and 5 gallon jugs with return deposit required. Also check the labels on algaecides as there are many products to meet certain price points. Great care must be given to the type of chlorine you as a customer purchase. The volatility of different chlorines when combined in improper ways can lead to severe injury.
