Marlin Engineering’s Transportation Planning Division plays a key role in developing vehicle, bicycle, transit and pedestrian transportation systems to serve Florida’s diverse population. By providing a full range of services to state and local agencies for all aspects of development from data collection to roadway design, our experts in Planning work closely with our clients to develop innovative solutions.

Our staff of professionals is dedicated to providing quality consulting in areas of design, construction documents preparation, permitting processes through regulatory agencies, value engineering, and construction management.

The Marlin Engineering Rail Department started 17 years ago with the Public Transportation Rail Contract for the Florida Department of Transportation. Since then, Marlin Engineering has been serving the District 4 and 6 of the FDOT in the capacity of Rail Consultant.

Marlin has been honored with the 2011 Project of the Year award from the Miami-Dade Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for its outstanding design work on the N.W. 25th Street Viaduct. Founded in 1852, the ASCE represents more than 140,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and is America's oldest national engineering society.

We pioneered traffic calming in Coral Gables, Miami and other communities where intensive public involvement played a major role in diverse communities buying into traffic circles and other devices as a way of improving their quality of life. We make communities more sustainable by offering mobility options that are not car-dependent.
