When Joe Marshall founded Marshall Erecting in 1974, he did so with a small equipment inventory and big plans. He acted as owner, millwright, truck driver, and mechanic. As his clientele grew, so did the company. He erected a new building in St. Francis in 1980, setting his sights on becoming one of Milwaukee's top millwright contractors. That goal was achieved three years ago, in 2005, when Marshall Erecting contributed more millwright hours than any other contractor in the millwright district.
