In addition to our specialized professional liability defense practice, we provide our design and construction clients with business representation. There are different types of corporations, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, and limited liability companies, and your selection of the type of entity will have tax and legal liability implications. We assist you in determining the appropriate choice of entity for your business and in registering your business with the Secretary of State .

We work with our clients as a team. Our goal is to keep our clients fully informed during all phases of the case by providing legal analysis and day-to-day correspondence to ensure that our clients understand everything that is happening and so that they can make informed decisions. We provide status letters and our clients participate in making decisions as to how we should handle each case. While our firm primarily does litigation, arbitrations, and mediations, we also assist clients in legal risk management and provide seminars addressing specific client needs.

Shareholder Bill Thrush has been practicing with Marvin Chorzempa and Larson since 2009. During that period, Bill has focused his efforts in assisting individuals and companies in civil litigation, primarily in the context of the construction industry. He also has experience in contract drafting and negotiation, product liability law, estate planning, and business law matters for the firm's municipal, architecture and engineering clients. He has successfully represented his clients in mediations, arbitrations and trials, and has successfully argued before Oregon's appellate courts.

Mr. Larson is also involved in the community. He has worked with the Sellwood-Moreland Improvement League and the Tacoma Main Street Project to assist with improving the community in and around Sellwood, Portland. He is frequently called upon to share his expertise with attorneys and other professionals, and has presented continuing education seminars on many areas of law pertaining to the design and construction industry. He is a member of the Legislative Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies (Oregon).
