Frequently I am asked what is my vision for Marygrove’s future or what are my goals for the students at Marygrove. For me, the answer is the same. Marygrove College will be a place where every student receives a first-class education that will enable him or her to achieve the goals that they have set for themselves. This will be a place of caring and concern for all members of the community, which fosters life-long learning, a global perspective, personal responsibility, competence, professionalism, and leadership.As I reflect on the college today, I believe that the elements of this vision are already in place. While there is always room for improvement, the values and characteristics of the college support the delivery of a holistic education that will allow every student to be transformed by the experience into the person they wish to be.The faculty, staff, and administration are committed to each student’s success. They ensure that the resources for learning are available. This catalog is one of those resources and should be used to maximum benefit. The various activities beyond the classroom, which are also made available, extend the opportunities for learning and growth. It is my hope that each student takes advantage of all that we plan and present.
