manufacturer founded in 1851, located in Geneva and the Vallée de Joux . It designs and manufactures timepieces and movements including some of the most complicated mechanical watches. It is widely considered the world's most prestigious watch brand by many experts.

The Hamilton Watch Company succeeded three watch manufacturers occupying the same facilities in Lancaster, PA., the most successful of which known as the Lancaster Watch Company. It was incorporated in 1892 and produced its first watch, known as the 936, in November of 1893. Hamilton produced high quality pocket watches and wristwatches , from mid-range to luxury. The Hamilton brand now belongs to The Swatch Group.

It is our understanding that the manufacturers of the below mentioned brands refuse to sell repair parts to independent watchmakers. In some cases these manufacturers will not even sell repair parts to their authorized dealers. We believe this practice is unfair to both consumers and independent watchmakers.

Below you can see the partially dismantled movement. Disassembly and inspection are required to accurately determine the amount of work needed. It is further disassembled for cleaning. There is no quick fix and those who handle the many delicate parts must be highly skilled and knowledgeable. It takes years to develop the skills and knowledge to provide expert service. We strongly recommend you chose carefully the qualified watchmaker you trust to service your valued timepiece.

Although we specialize in the repair of unusual watches, we realize that a "more common" watch may be very special to it's owner. Provenance, especially by our ancestors, is a very endearing quality.
