Over the past 48 years - 20 in the classroom and 28 with Math Teachers Press - I have been on a quest to find a better way to teach math. Spurred by the challenge of preparing non-English speaking students for algebra, I carefully crafted ways to assess and teach every objective with a manipulative. My students were able to learn three or four years of essential math concepts in six months! Since those early days, Math Teachers Press has continually improved its programs to meet the instructional needs and specific objectives of school districts nationwide. We have added tools for teachers and administrators, new programs for students at all grade levels, and web-based assessments to measure individual performance, assess class progress, and verify program implementation district-wide. Yet our mission at Math Teachers Press remains unchanged: to help all students succeed in math—especially those who struggle most—while making the job of the teacher easier with handy organizational tools and complete, user-friendly scripted lesson plans to ensure success. Passing rates for our students have doubled and even tripled when using the MOVING with MATH
