During the 70's, Jay Lininger envisioned an opportunity for a small typesetting company to turn from a dependancy on large and often proprietary front end systems to embracing the emerging technology of desk-top. This provided publishers the ability to address the long standing need to "control" (work with and change) their content. Combining his vision with his wife Paula's organizational and administrative skills, they started a typesetting service strategically located in York, PA.
