Maassen Celebrates 25 Years With McCallie Associates They say almost no one in the IT industry sticks with one company very long, and yet, for 25 years Jennifer Maassen has worked many jobs at one unique IT company. Joining McCallie Associates in May of 1985 as a commissioned executive recruiter, she rose through the ranks as the company grew to lead McCallie operations across numerous prime and subcontracted teams. It was her track record of success and business plan that eventually convinced founder Bob McCallie to select Maassen for CEO when he announced his retirement in 1998. Since then, Maassen has grown the company in contract breadth and expanded multi-state operations generating more than $14M in sales annually. Winning numerous industry awards for quality, McCallie remains a sought-after company as a teaming partner for defense contracts. Funding research and development of web-delivered services, Ms. Maassen kept McCallie on the leading edge, developing new secure software and database technologies through grants to the University of Nebraska ’s Peter Kiewit Institute. In 2007, McCallie began offering secure Software as a Service deliveries to public health programs and in 2009 formed a wholly-owned subsidiary, Oxbow Data Management Services, to focus on these new web-delivered capabilities. Maassen has kept McCallie ’s focus on recruiting, realizing the talent required to manage today ’s complex technology demands technically qualified, security-minded professionals. Under her leadership, McCallie grew from single site operations to more than 130 staff in 6 states and support to systems fielded across North America from the Arctic to the Caribbean.
