On January 1, 2005, Gus Schram & Co., LTD merged into McElroy, Quirk & Burch. On July 1, 1991, McElroy, Quirk & Company and Canfield, Burch & Mancuso merged to form McElroy, Quirk & Burch. These combined mergers brought together the four oldest CPA firms in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Canfield, Burch & Mancuso was originally founded in 1925 by Victor Canfield. McElroy, Quirk & Company traces its beginning to the early 1940's when Mr. Charles I. McElroy and Mr. Charles P. Quirk each organized public accounting firms in Lake Charles.
