The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Cancer Institute at Franklin Square The Cancer Institute at Franklin Square is a 64,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancer. It is the only cancer treatment center of its kind in northeastern Maryland to offer a full range of oncology services, including radiation therapy, medical oncology, breast services, surgical oncology and a full range of support services all under one roof. In all the specialty areas, the Clinical Research program at the Cancer Institute remains consistently strong. We continue to accrue some 80 patients annually—95 this past year—to research studies and often have new investigational agents to offer that are not available elsewhere in the Chesapeake Bay area.
