While working for Grimmer Coffee Company, makers of Creole Belle, brothers Louis and Will Begnaud dreamed of one day owning and operating their own coffee company. In 1936, they decided to make the "big leap.” So, with all of their savings, they started Mello Joy Coffee Company. Mello Joy became the talk of the town, and dreams became reality as the people of Acadiana began calling it their own. Times were tough from the beginning, but the brothers were determined to be key players in the Louisiana market.

It’s in every cup of Mello Joy, a coffee so good that even after an absence of more than 20 years, memories of its satisfying flavor have made it as popular today as it was when first brewed in the 1930s. We provide all necessary equipment, including industry-leading brewing equipment. Our sales personnel are professionals who are knowledgeable in all aspects of the coffee business and will ensure that you receive prompt scheduled visits. Mello Joy offers a variety of coffee blends, including Dark Roast, Between Roast, Medium Roast and Decaf.

Mello Joy Coffee Company was established in 1936 in the heart of Cajun Louisiana. Our product quickly became a favorite beverage in Southern Louisiana, with the soothing aroma of Mello Joy coffee bringing together family and friends to share in good times and great memories. Whether enjoying a steaming cup of Mello Joy to top off a famed Creole meal in New Orleans or following an original Cajun gumbo or crawfish etouffee, the Original Cajun Coffee has been as important of a pastime as Zydeco music and Mardi Gras parades.

Mello Joy Coffee Company offers full-service packages for businesses of all sizes. Large or small, our On Premise division serves office complexes, restaurants and industrial sites. We provide all necessary equipment, including industry-leading brands and products, to ensure the greatest flavor from our selection of fine Mello Joy coffee and tea products. When a Mello Joy professional arrives at your establishment, all equipment is cleaned and regular calibration checks are maintained to ensure consistency of every pot of coffee.
