Members 1st is a member-owned full service financial institution located in the heart of Southcentral Pennsylvania. Being member-owned means we don't have to pay out big dividends to stockholders - we don't have any. And, we don't have out-of-state or foreign investors behind the scenes. Since 1950, our members have been an integral part of who we are and that remains so today. They volunteer their time on our oversight committees, our Board of Directors and work hand in hand with our associates to help Members 1st run seamlessly.In 2003, we opened up credit union membership to anyone who lives, works, worships, goes to school or volunteers in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, Perry or York Counties or the Borough of Shippensburg. Anyone who meets those qualifications or is related to someone who does, is eligible to open an account with us. The motive behind this "community charter" was simple - we wanted to be in a position to offer credit union services to more people throughout Southcentral Pennsylvania. We wanted everyone to have another option for personal and business accounts from which to chose. We wanted people in this region to have an alternative for competitive rates, better service, fewer fees and a lot more options without being nickel and dimed to death.
