A new health center is expanding in Union County. UnionStar, located at 773 South Walnut Street in Marysville, is a community health center providing primary care services for patients of all ages who are un- and underinsured. The clinic, the result of a collaborative effort between Memorial Hospital of Union County, the Union County Health Department, UnionStar Board of Directors, and Lower Lights Christian Health Center (LLCHC), will serve as an affordable healthcare option for residents who previously did not have access to a primary care doctor.

The mission of the Memorial Hospital Development Council is to build and strengthen relationships within our community and to cultivate continued support for future growth. Founded in 2000, the Council is a network of residents and business leaders who represent the partnership between the community and the hospital. The diverse experience and expertise of these individuals make them a valuable resource to Memorial Hospital and Union County.

Since then, Union County and the surrounding areas have grown to over 65,000 residents— and we’ve grown right alongside. Today, Memorial Hospital is a 97-bed primary and emergency care center with over 30 additional service lines including laboratory and imaging services, long-term nursing care, an occupational health center, and more. Compared to other facilities, some may consider us a hometown hospital—but we have a big commitment to the community we grew up with in the role we play, the concern we express for our friends and neighbors, and the services we provide to back up that concern.
