Description
Entrance to the “ Crater ” tunnel dug by the Union underneath the South’s fortifications in Petersburg. The battle was reenacted in the movie “Cold Mountain”. There used to be a speaker in the tunnel and you could press a button and the narration would come from inside the tunnel. One day when Me and Rory where walking the park he went to the entrance for a sniff. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to press the button and watch him run from there at light speed! Sorry Ror’ dog.
