Description

Meridian Music was founded in October 1988, but its roots date back to 1963 when Richard Gigax accepted a position with Steinway & Sons as a District Sales Manager. In 1967, Mr. Gigax came to Indianapolis to run Steinway’s retail establishment, Wilking Music Company. When Steinway decided to sell the business in 1969, Mr. Gigax made the decision to put down roots in Indianapolis permanently and buy Wilking Music. Over the next 12 years, the business grew, gaining a national reputation for its high standards of professionalism and for the quality of its products, services, and community involvement.
