The Metamora State Bank first opened its doors on July 1, 1944, and is celebrating servering our customers for 70 years as a community bank this year, 2014. Initially operated by a husband and wife team of only two employees with a financial base of only $1.5 million, the bank has enjoyed much growth, and now employs 20 people, with assets in excess of $63 million. It is our mission to provide a safe, secure, competitive source of financial services to the residents of our market area, while remaining an independent locally-owned community bank.

To maintain consistent growth, the Metamora State Bank opened a second branch in Sylvania in 1995. Located on the northeast corner of Centennial Road and Sylvania-Metamora Road, the new branch holds true to the small town bank image, while providing the level of customer service that has kept the bank thriving for more than 70 years. Meanwhile, the original branch in Metamora was renovated in the spring of 2001. Our Sylvania branch is being remodeled this year, 2014.

The product line of the bank has changed as well. We offer a variety of accounts that will meet the individual needs of our customers. Besides the traditional checking and savings accounts, we have some new accounts available: MSB Choice Checking and BusinessPlus Checking. These have been very popular with our existing and new customers. We offer Certificates of Deposits and Individual Retirement Accounts. Call us and inquire about our competitive rates. We frequently offer Certificate of Deposit Rate Specials. We offer a variety of loan products for our personal and business customers.
