MetroPCS has more than two million subscribers and offers customers flat rate plans with unlimited anytime local and domestic long distance minutes with no contract. MetroPCS is among the first wireless operators to deploy an all-digital network based on third generation infrastructure and handsets.MetroPCS initially launched service in 2002 in the Atlanta, South Florida, Sacramento and San Francisco areas. In 2004, MetroPCS acquired licenses for the greater Tampa/Sarasota area and has now expanded its Florida footprint from South Florida into the Central Florida region. MetroPCS will be launching additional markets in Dallas in March 2006 and Detroit April 2006.
