Our well-equipped shop can accurately reproduce complex shapes and elements associated with everything from small boat kits to cruising yachts. In addition, Hewes & Company offers positive pressure spray booth finishing for marine products providing protection for years from the demanding marine environment.

Unique to the industry, Hewes & Company provides the Down East Maine construction and boating trade with highly professional crane services that include a 30-ton crane - and available 2-person service basket capable of lifts over 100’ high. Hewes & Company’s crane operator is well-qualified to handle any challenge, having operated cranes and rigging for over 20 years.

Since then the company has grown steadily in reputation and scope of work. In 1999, Hewes & Company moved to its present 19,500 square foot headquarters in Blue Hill, Maine. Today, Michael Hewes maintains oversight of the entire operation as well as day-to-day project management. Hewes’ work philosophy, dedication to excellence, conscientiousness, and respect for his customers and colleagues is reflected in every employee and in all aspect of the company's operations.
