Burn-in systems come in a variety of shapes and sizes to meet the needs of a variety of applications. The figure below shows the components included in a typical system. With devices becoming more and more complex, manufacturers find it necessary to include some form of burn-in as a way to reduce the number of failures in the final product.
Harold Hamilton founded Micro Control Company in 1972 as a manufacturer of test equipment for the electronics industry. The microprocessor-controlled test system produced in 1973 was the first in the industry. Today, the tradition continues with Micro Control's high-power burn-in and test systems which are being shipped to customers throughout the world.
