Micron News March 31, 2010 As a part of our 2010 expansion plan, Micron has relocated our Corporate Headquarters to Oak Brook, IL. The new facility will house Micron Executive Management as well as Sales and Marketing, Customer Service, Design Engineering, Human Resources and Accounting staff. Telephone numbers and email addresses remain unchanged. Micron manufacturing and product warehousing continues to be located in Sterling, IL. October 31, 2008 Micron announces the launch of a new sub-family of industrial DIN rail mounted power supplies that expands the Micron line from the current metal cased 60w to 480w portfolio. The new 30w and 50w plastic power supplies feature the same high quality features shared with the Micron DINergy metal cased units but are enclosed in the smallest form cases in the industry. The 30w units offer a choice of 24, 15, 12 and 5VDC outputs, while the 50w unit can provide 24, 15, or 12VDC. Same day shipment is available from Micron's Illinois site. November 2, 2007 In a continuing expansion of our Micron DINergy DIN rail power supply line, Micron has added a 960W design to the product family. As is the case with all Micron power supplies, the new units feature a full nameplate power rating at 60 degree C, requring no derating for ambient temperatures above 40 degree C, unlike the majority of Micron competitors. The new units also feature autoselect input voltage (no hi-lo manual switching), active PFC harmonic filtering (superior to industry norm passive filters), robust thermally conductive metal case construction and a five year warranty. December 27, 2006 To address growing demand for Micron products and the need for redundant manufacturing capabilities, Micron announces the opening of an additional manufacturing site located 80 miles west of our current Elmhurst facility. The Sterling, Illinois operation will employ machinery and processes identical to those in use in our current facility, including a new high speed coil winding operation matching the one in Elmhurst. By investing in additional equipment and people and locating them apart from our existing resources, Micron will provide even better service with protection against unanticipated interruption of production at either of the plants due to weather or other uncontrollable conditions. December 16, 2006 Micron announces the addition of a series of DIN rail mounting Voltage Sag Buffer and Battery UPS products to the growing Micron DINergy power supply product line. June 7, 2006 In May of 2006, Micron introduced a new line of switching power supplies including the Micron DINergy DIN rail products and the Micron ImperviPOWER 67 encapsulated units for IP-67 applications. The DINergy units feature 60 degree C ratings with fully automatic input voltage adjustment (no switches), power-boost capability, paralleling/redundancy options, full active PFC/harmonic filtering and a small form. The ImperviPOWER 67 design incorporates a patented encapsulation process providing superior protection against fluids, vapors and corrosive gases.
