Description

Microseeps was founded in 1984 by a group of former Gulf Research & Development Company employees, including the Director of Geochemistry, Dr. Robert Pirkle, who were utilizing geochemical methods as a means of oil and gas exploration around the world. These methods, and the equipment utilized to implement them, formed the basis of Microseeps’ initial work at the Savannah River site, a nuclear facility operated by the Department of Energy. Microseeps provided sampling and analytical support for the assessment of over 200 waste sites at Savannah River Site utilizing innovative soil gas procedures to rapidly characterize these waste sites that contained numerous hazardous contaminants. In 1995, Microseeps recognized the power in combining SW-846 methods with our unique performance-based methods to provide clients with a complete site characterization. As a result, Microseeps acquired the assets of two laboratories, allowing Microseeps to become a full-service compliance laboratory while maintaining our performance-based analyses and sampling services.
