We have many of the same customers who developed their careers in technical computing since 1982. At Microway, we provide a team approach to solving configuration and software issues. We have done these things consistently for over 30 years.
Microway was founded in 1982 and has served the scientific community for more than three decades. Our supercomputers and software have been used by many of the world’s most prestigious national labs, corporations and universities. Today, the company specializes in designing HPC workstations, servers, clusters and storage solutions for researchers, universities and corporations. Our systems often include cutting-edge GPU accelerators and x86 coprocessors.
Our company takes a team approach to sales, integration and support. Our sales team is very responsive to the needs of our customers, and tend to develop long standing relationships with them. This could explain why a huge percentage of our business comes from repeat clients.
Microway servers are custom designed by our technical sales team, to end user specifications, and incorporate the expertise gained from over 2 decades of working with state of the art HPC hardware. After building a basic server from the highest quality hardware building blocks, our integrators perform rigorous stress testing on all components until they meet our exacting standard of quality. Next we perform the complete Linux or Windows software integration necessary to run user applications. The server is delivered primed for “out of the box” performance.
Microway continues to thrive because we service the university, R&D and bioinformatics industries. We do not sell personal computers, but sophisticated computational solutions. Microway owes its growth to the ability of our staff to deliver sophisticated products to our customer base. Our customers are well-educated users of high technology who are fairly immune to empty marketing claims and very responsive to honesty and price/performance. It makes for a healthy “marriage of convenience” with our customers.
