The Knapp Medical Center Foundation formed in 1981 as a non-profit corporation benefiting Knapp Medical Center and the thousands of children and adults it serves each year.Over the years, more than $3 million has been granted to Knapp Medical Center, a not-for-profit acute care hospital, for equipment, education supplies and renovation.Beside grants to Knapp Medical Center, the Foundation continues to build an endowment fund. Unless specified for a particular project, gifts are invested and the interest is used to make grants to the hospital. Donations are tax deductible and should be made to the Knapp Medical Center Foundation.
