A situation where natural gas producers (or marketers) are allowed to sell their production directly to retail customers while depending on the local utility to provide the actual delivery of the gas. Gas Open Access is not currently permitted in Kansas for residential customers.

Midwest Energy, Inc. is requesting information from parties who may be interested in working with Midwest Energy to provide new generating resources through one or more arrangements such as power purchase arrangements, sales of assets, build-own-transfer approaches or joint participation in an existing project or one to be developed. Expressions of interest will be considered for contracted capacity and energy from new resources, existing resources, or an ownership interest in new or existing unit(s).
