Venissa joins us as a Front Office Staff Personnel! Venissa studied at both Indiana University and Loyola Business. Venissa has workedin administration and office management for over 15 years, which gives her experience to maintain the office. Venissa has worked withMidwest since June 2013, and works in our Crown Point Office.Venissa is married with a teenage daughter who excels in Artistic Gymnastics, Cheer, and tumbling. Thanks in a large part to the coaches and staff at Midwest. Venissa is the coach for WheelerMiddle School Cheerleaders for Crown Point School Corporation.

Midwest Training & Ice Center is the region's largest state-of-the-art training facility for Ice Hockey/Figure Skating and Gymnastics. MTIC provides the highest quality instruction to athletes of all ages and abilities. Sport specific training is available in gymnastics, ice hockey, figure skating, and cheerleading. For the recreational athlete, Midwest Training & Ice Center offers public skate sessions, drop-in hockey and open gym. Midwest Fitness Center is located within the facility and features state-of-the-art strength & cardiovascular equipment, one-on-one personal training, and saunas in both locker rooms.

Michelle joins us with 8 years professional Dance Training from Fauburg Ballet & Chicago Multi Cultural Dance Center, Training in Vaganova method. She was a part of the FauburgBallet Company for 2 years, and Indiana Youth Ballet for5 years. She has been dancing for over 25 years.Michelle has been teaching dance for 13 years. She has taught in Indiana, Illinois, and Colorado.Michelle has worked at Midwest since Aug 2013. She loves all of her students and the staff. Teaching is her passion and she is excited to share that with her students.

– Schhaya danced on the National Champion University of Louisville Ladybirds, and was a Cheerleader/Dancer and guest choreographer for the NBA Indiana Pacers. She coached, instructed, choreographed, and served as Director for School and All-Star Pom teams for over 15 years. During that time her own teams and others she choreographed won 30+ National Championships, as well as countless Regional and State level championships, and her choreography for Game/Halftime routines is always very popular and well received. She’s also traveled throughout the U.S. doing choreography, training and tech work for dance teams.

MTIC is a high traffic zone for families of all ages. We are the only Ice Skating Arena in NW Indiana and the High School Hockey Home to Lake Central, Crown Point, Munster, Portage and Kankakee. Gymnasts, Cheerleaders, Figure Skaters and Hockey Players train and compete in our dynamic complex attracting large audiences from Indiana and Illinois. We specialize in fun and fitness for the entire family. While our youth are having fun in the Ice Center or the Gymnastics Training Facility, our parents stay in shape in our Fitness Center comprised of cardiovascular and weight training equipment and fitness classes!.
