Description

In 1995, Michelle Wang moved down to Columbia from New York City. As she fell in love with the beautiful city and warm southern hospitality, she also discovered the city's need for a good Chinese restaurant. With very little capital and experience, but lots of determination and passion, on March 4th , 1996, Michelle opened her very first restaurant near the SC State House called " Miyo's Shanghai and Szechuan cuisine". It was not an instant success... one day in July, 1996, the State newspaper wrote Miyo's a very complimentary review... " fresh and delicious foods , attentive and warm service with very reasonable prices...". Miyo's started to fill its empty tables with loyal customers. With very little culinary background, Michelle started to explore other Asian cuisines... In 1999 , M.Cafe opened with original grill items inspired by Vietnamese and Korean barbecue... in 2000, Miyo's on Forest opened with more Curry and asian noodles dishes...In 2003, Rui Cao---Michelle's husband left his engineering job and joined the company. In 2004, they opened their first sushi bar in Harbison location. In 2008 , M.Vista opened with more innovative menu and premium bar selection...in 2009, Miyo's sandhill opened in Northeast Columbia and Miyo's lexington will be opening in July, 2010... Today, with hundreds of dedicated staff and loyal guests, Miyo's operates 7 locations in City of Columbia. Miyo's not only strives to set high standards for product and service quality , but also takes pride in supporting the arts and music in our community! For Pleasure and Longevity!
