Description

MMI was founded on March 3, 1986 by William Rivera. He gained direct mail experience as a youth when he helped his brother, Julio Rivera, establish his own direct mail business. Julio now retired, was Founder and President of Pacific Direct Mail Services, Inc., a company doing over 12 million dollars in sales and employing over 200 people. Julio also has the distinction of being the first member of the Latin Business Association (LBA) in 1976. In 1980, while working for the Ralph M. Parsons Company, William was relocated to Saudi Arabia where he worked as a Lead Planning Engineer for 3 1/2 years. His position as Lead Planner consisted of supervising four other engineers and producing computer generated construction schedules for one of the largest projects in Saudi Arabia. With his savings from work overseas, William set up MMI No. 1 in a 700 square foot office (previously the LBA headquarters) in the Pacific Direct Mail Services building.
