Sheffield Football Club, in Sheffield, England (in the middle of England, about 63 miles east of Liverpool) is the oldest documented non-university club, founded in 1857. It initially played a code of its own devising. The club was one of the first to join the new English Football Association (FA) in 1863 and is recognized by both the FA and FIFA as the world's oldest club now playing association football.

The Federation Internationale de Football Association (French for International Federation of Association Football), commonly known as FIFA is the international governing body of association football (soccer). Founded in 1904, its headquarters are in Zürich, Switzerland. FIFA is responsible for the organization and governance of football along with its major international tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup, held since 1930.

MSC is not a for profit company, it’s a 501c(3) non-profit club to develop players and promote soccer in the Mobile area. Yes, a few people are paid like the Director of Coaching and the team coaches, the pay is not much; most coaches do it mainly for the love of the game. Volunteer parents like you do the majority of the work at no pay. The elected volunteer Board manages the overall direction of the club; the day-to-day operations are managed and conducted by team managers and volunteer parents. Without these unpaid dedicated volunteers the club could not operate and would not exist.
