For over a century, Modoc Medical Center (MMC) has delivered the healthcare needs to our community. Today, the Last Frontier Healthcare District dba MMC is a 16-bed, critical access hospital providing emergency services, offering family practice medicine and operating a skilled nursing facility in addition to other ancillary services.

For Public Health Activities – For example, we report information about births, deaths, and various diseases to government officials in charge of collecting that information, and we provide coroners, medical examiners, and funeral directors necessary information relating to an individual’s death.

Modoc Medical Center’s generous donors help to provide the resources necessary to add a margin of excellence to our clinical programs and overall operations. Donor support helps to build new state-of-the-art facilities, purchase the latest technology, provide outreach to the community, and educate future and current medical professionals.

Our Emergency room physicians are board certified in Emergency Medicine and have years of experience in Emergency Services. They have been serving Modoc County since 2007.
