Former teammates on the University of Portland ski team from 1946 to 1950, co-directors Bob Wiesmann and Bill Arenz bring over a half century of ski experience to Ski Bowl every weekend when Mogul Busters is operating. The two, who are in their 70's, still "approach skiing with a sparkle in their eyes" and continue to spread their enthusiasm for the sport through the Mogul Busters Snow Sports program. Although they are too busy to teach classes, they are never too busy to make sure that the program is operating smoothly.Congratulations to Bill Arenz, winner of the prestigious PSIA-NW Jean Lyons Service to Youth Award presented at the PSIA-NW/NIM Spring Symposium 2000 in Sun Valley, Idaho!Team Mogul Buster is made up of instructors, staff members and volunteers who dedicate their winter weekends to teaching children to ski and snowboard. With over 45 instructors on staff, all are specially selected and trained in meeting the needs of young children. All instructors are certified through the Professional Ski Instructors Association and/or the American Association of Snowboard Instructors and use the latest, most proven techniques for teaching skiing and snowboarding to children. Most importantly, they want your child's time on the snow to be fun, educational and safe.
