Description

Marvin began his career in the funeral business in 1966 when he worked for the Rouch family at their funeral home. He was an apprentice for two years at the Rouch Funeral Home and graduated from Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1969. He returned to continue working for the Rouch Family business. Marvin and Gerry Montgomery, who both worked for the Rouch family, formed a partnership in 1986 to purchase the funeral home. The funeral home was then renamed Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors. It is the only Pueblo funeral home owned and operated by lifetime Puebloans.
