Moving People Dance Theatre, a nonprofit contemporary dance company based in Santa Fe, NM is committed to showcasing broad spectrums of dance styles to the community and to educating interested students with quality professional training.MPDT is dedicated to seeing that the artistic integrity and power of dance continue to inspire and enhance our community. Through the production of concerts, dance intensive workshops, intimate evenings of dance and discussion, and in-school lectures and demonstrations, Moving People ensures a bright future for dance in New Mexico.The professional artists involved with MPDT promote a fusion of dance techniques to create a broad vocabulary of expression that has the potential to reach people of diverse backgrounds. The dancers are receptive to new styles of movement and are continually striving to expand the scope of their art. MPDT engages choreographers from Santa Fe and around the world to create new works that introduce culturally and technically diverse choreography to artists and audiences alike.
