The x-ray and opticsdivisions at MOXTEK® manufacture and develop x-ray and optical components for a variety of applications. MOXTEK, Inc. was founded in 1986 with technology jointly developed with Brigham Young University. In addition, MOXTEK manufactures ultra-thin films, specialty coatings, ultra-low noise electronics, junction field effect transistors (JFET), Beryllium and ultra thin polymer (ProLINE) x-ray windows, and Si-PIN detectors, and other radiation detectors.MOXTEK xray components are used in high performance xray instruments for a variety of applications including microanalysis, spectroscopy, EDXRF, WDXRF, XRF and XRD. MOXTEK is also skilled in the technology and manufacture of specialized optical wire-grid polarizers in the visible wavelengths. Our wire-grid polarizers are useable as general purpose, high contrast, and as high transmission polarizers, in various application and design systems. The PPL Series is used as both entrance polarizers and exit polarizers. Also, our polarizing beamsplitters (PBS/PBF series) are used in HTPS and LCoS engines, and include the option of optically flat polarizing beamsplitters.MOXTEK is also developing the ProFlux™ Ultra for the Ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths, an Inorganic Absorptive polarizer, and Infrared (IR) products to meet the needs of OEM manufactures all over the world.
