In 1982, Larry Linderer, a former PPG executive, founded the Salisbury Glass Company. The company began as a single shop with five employees. A year later, his son Doug joined. The company grew, bringing in more expertise in the form of key people. Since then the core staff has become the main ingredient of a people-centered business. Over time, seven more locations and a variety of services were added, transforming a one-shop company into the premier glass chain, servicing all of Eastern Shore. In 1992, Doug Linderer bought the company from his father, and added three more stores to the array. His focus was the same, but he enlarged a passionate view of safety, certification, and quality service in all aspects of the business. His approach grew into a more diversified array of divisions under the Go-Glass umbrella. In addition to Auto Glass, he added Home and Business divisions and then Go-Builder Services to handle a growing need for commitment oriented subcontracting to developers.
