UPDATED AT OF May 16, 2010. Changes and updates are highlighted in yellow. These rules apply to all MRR events held in 2010. The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly and safe conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM THE PUBLICATION OF OR THE COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. These rules are for the fun, safe and orderly conduct of racing and are meant to act as guidelines so that everyone is treated fairly and without bias. The signature of the participant on the registration form signifies that person's agreement to abide by all track rules as presented. IF YOU THINK THAT A MODIFICATION OR ACTION IS ILLEGAL, THEN IT PROBABLY IS. Any violation of any rule will be dealt with as promptly and as fairly as the track management and officials possibly can. Violators of any rule may be subject to any or all of the following disciplinary actions: SUSPENSION, DISQUALIFICATION, FORFEITURE OF PRIZE MONIES, EXPULSION FROM THE EVENT, BARRING FROM FUTURE RACING EVENTS. THE RULING OF TRACK OFFICIALS IS FINAL IN ALL MATTERS. GENERAL RULES OF RACING FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS 1. NO ALCOHOL IN THE PIT AREA BEFORE OR DURING RACING. This includes not only the pit parking area, but also the pit viewing area. More specifically, the trees adjacent to the pits. Save the alcohol until racing is concluded and trophies are awarded. This applies to all participants, their pit crew and anyone accompanying them into the pit area. No alcohol is allowed through the pit gates or into the pit area before or during racing. TRACK OFFICIALS AND MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO INSPECT ALL VEHICLES FOR ALCOHOL. 2. NO ALCOHOL MAY BE CONSUMED BY ANY PARTICIPANT PRIOR TO OR DURING RACING. Any racer with alcohol on their breath will be subject to disciplinary actions listed above. If there is any suspicion that a racer has been drinking, an alcohol-detecting saliva test may be administered at the discretion of track officials. 3. No driver will be permitted to run if he/she is determined to be incapable of driving safely. 4. Un-sportsmanlike conduct by any participant is prohibited and will result in disciplinary actions being taken. 5. DRIVERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PIT CREW. They can get you disqualified or more for one of them breaking any rule. Any un-sportsmanlike conduct of a pit crew member is prohibited and will not be tolerated. Please make sure they are aware of this. 6. NO RACING IN THE PIT AREA. 'Just seeing how it runs' is not permitted. If space permits, a testing area will be designated. 7. ANY RECKLESS OR CARELESS DRIVING ON OR OFF THE TRACK WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Anyone driving in a manner that endangers any person or any person's vehicle will be subject to disciplinary actions by track officials. 8. If your vehicle breaks down or gets stuck on the track, do not exit the vehicle while others are still competing on the track. This is for your own safety.
