Multimedia Audio Visual was founded in 1992 by technophile and Denverite Neal Cohen, who knew he could bring better AV services to the Denver community. Before founding MAV, Neal gained knowledge of the convention production and multimedia services market in Denver through technical and customer service management positions at Davis Audio Visual, Video Technics and Flash Video Productions.
