I am writing this letter regarding Phillip Murphy. I was very fortunate to benefit from his extensive knowledge about chimney and oil heating systems. Initially, we met when he did a "temporary" repair on the top of my chimney. My home is over 50 years old and the chimney was in sad shape. Although it was meant to be a temporary repair, it has held up for over 2 years and is still in great shape. On one of his visits to say Hi and check on the temporary repair, Phillip also pointed out a major problem caused by my new highly efficient oil furnace. The exhaust was causing major disintegration of my chimney and leaving a white "funny" fuzz on the outside of the chimney. He resolved the problem by installing a stainless steel liner in the heater flue. This preventive action saved me over $7000 in future repairs. I have recommended Phillip to friends and will gladly do so again and again.
