Description

Our mission statement has always been to help children develop total musicianship and to provide an understanding and love of music that will last for a lifetime: to this end, we have consistently increased class offerings, teacher training, and capacity. In the beginning, we only offered group classes consisting of the Harmony Road Music Courses, an internationally successful music program designed to develop total musicianship. As we grew, we added private lessons for piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, oboe, and a computer lab. Our unique combination of private lessons, computer lab, and musicianship class enhances students’ interest and ability to succeed in auditions and competitions.

We provide a well-rounded music education for students and help them obtain skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. Beyond music and musicianship, students will also learn poise, discipline, goal setting, self-esteem, time management skills, and public presentation skills. We also provide a fun experience to those who want to explore the life-long enjoyment of learning music.

From our beginnings as a very small school, we have grown to become the most comprehensive music school in our area. Our staff consists of dedicated teachers with advanced degrees in performance and pedagogy. Our teachers collaborate using our collective experience to help each student reach their full potential.

Ensemble playing is an important part of every musician's education. The growing popularity of guitar ensembles such as the L.A. Guitar Quartet, the New West Guitar Quartet, and the legendary Romeros has made ensemble experience an even more exciting and indispensable opportunity for young guitarists. Our ensembles, included in the Musicianship classes, provide the opportunity for young guitarists to grow in excellence within the circle of peers dedicated to the same goal.
