Description

(Trombone) B.F.A. in Music Performance, Cornish College Of The Arts (Cum Laude). Additional study with J .J. Johnson. Bill has performed and recorded with Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, and many others. Locally, he's with Bochinche, and is lead trombonist in the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra and the Roadside Attraction Big Band. Has been a private instructor in the NW since 1991.(Flute) Linda is a Doctor of Musical Arts student at the University of Washington, where she studies with Felix Skowronek. She moved to Seattle from Dallas where she performed with the Irving Symphony Orchestra, substituted regularly with the Plano Chamber Orchestra and maintained an active flute studio. Linda holds a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where she was a Teaching Fellow, and a Bachelor of Music from Portland State University. In addition to working on her DMA in flute performance, she is also pursuing a theory certificate. When Linda is not studying music she teaches Hebrew and Judaic studies on Mercer Island, and is very active in Israeli dance.(Saxophone) A nationally acclaimed talent, Richard Cole ranks among the most in-demand musicians in the Pacific Northwest jazz scene. Besides work with such jazz greats as Randy Brecker, Dave Holland, Julian Priester and John Fedchock, he has toured regularly with fusion star Dan Siegel, performed with R&B legends Gladys Knight, the Temptations and The Four Tops while also composing and performing his own music. Richard cites numerous influences ranging from the seminal jazz performances of John Coltrane and Joe Henderson, to recent virtuosos Bob Berg, Michael Brecker and David Liebman. Additionally, Richard has also taught at the prestigious Cornish School of Music in Seattle, Washington.
